Evolution units can not just evolve, its capped, but you can get close

@@WinSlayaGaming never tested it but i suspect they might be able to with scions as scions work a bit differently for example if you get to legend rank with scions you get 50 knowledge with philosophers soldiers

@@M0rgi I'm curious how viable it is in the other mp server. Were you able to get to drafting the legend rank units faster in any of your mps?

iirc they're internally capped at spawning champion now.

I hope they carry that change over to all units

Yeah, I think that logic makes sense. People typically can get 6 armor or resistance fairly frequently in the mid to late game, when you would be able to make this item enchantment.

@@WinSlayaGaming The question is what mix of targets you have, since you can't swap weapons mid-battle. Unless your opponent has a lot of bolstered defense/resistance or racial traits/transformations, non-hero units will generally be less than that (yes, it's technically possible to get an exemplar up to 21/14, but other than proving it can be done, there's no reason to do so).

Yeah, I see the connection there too. but the dev diary specifically reference how the dwelling design is based of the kirko cities, but i can see the dark psynumbra/psionics style to the dwelling there as well

It has been a while since I play aowp planetfall, but i think basically the copy of the echo walker keeps the mods (so its you give impairing grenades', than you can aoe stagger a bunch of units)

also ninjew says this "with powerful 1ap attacks dvar echo walkers are a dominating variant of the unit. the clone only starts with 1ap so they get full value out of it the turn it is created - you can run up to 1 hex away from someone, make the clone behind them, have the clone smack them and push them into range of the original, who then smacks them back to being under the clone's overwatch. this is a ton of damage and a double stagger and puts them under a brutal melee overwatch, alongside all of the other advantages echo walkers have from being able to create an extra body. unlike other 1ap variants such as the amazon and oathbound echowalkers, you get to make the clone when you are not next to the target and still get both hits via the knockback. this means you can use it against melee units (otherwise the create clone action would get you slapped by melee overwatch and you wouldn't get a doublehit). it does come with the tradeoff of only having 1 MO on the target, whereas the other 1ap variants get to keep both bodies next to their target to put it under 2 MOs. you also get less damage and mobility than the amazon echo walker. imo the dvar echo walker is superior due to how it destroys melee units as well, there's a larger variety of armies they'll perform well against even though they won't hit quite as hard, but this is certainly a debateable point. in any case, any 1ap echo walker variant is a top tier t2 unit, unless you are fighting air units in which case they are completely useless."

Its the best unlicensed motr mtg dnd game Ive ever played haha it allows me to hit so many fantastic experiences and role playing opportunities

@@WinSlayaGaming actually I created this handle when baldurs gate 3 was first announced - so it was less Lovecraft and more Illithid - and just changed the thumbnail after finishing CP 2077 expansion, shadow liberty, and just loving it. But yeah, tentacles all the same :)

Sounds like they plan on continuing to support that game, so maybe we will get more cultures, but i think its more likely that they will make a bunch of subcultures
